The ANIMA project is intended to empower airport operators to better address noise impacts and thereby enhance the quality of life of residents living near airports. The project has revealed considerable variation in noise management experience and capability across European airports and seeks to ‘level up’ performance through providing support to airports as they respond to the challenge of noise management.

Through this event, engagement with airports representing a range of different sizes and experience will be fostered, specifically through knowledge transfer. Several case studies will be presented from various countries, such as the Netherlands, France, Germany, Romania, Moldova, Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine. The Noise Platform, which is the ANIMA landmark deliverable, will also be showcased, allowing airports to discuss how best to exploit the best practice included on this platform and how to improve noise management in their unique context. It is hoped that such discussions will also support peer-to-peer learning and the development of airport networks to facilitate the exchange of effective practice and experience.

COVID-19 notice: optimal sanitary safety conditions will be put in place to ensure that the organisation of the live event is adapted to answer any concerns arising from the health crisis linked to COVID-19. To attend the event at the venue, participants will be asked to show the proof of completed vaccination cycle, the proof of recovery from COVID-19 or a negative COVID-19 test result taken within the last 48 hours. In case of restrictions imposed by COVID-19 cases surge, this event will be moved completely online.

Please also note that videos and photos will be taken during this event, which may be further used for the communication and dissemination purposes of the ANIMA project.
